Innovation
A central engine for shaping Israel’s energy economy.
Energy Infrastructures Ltd., views innovation and technology as a core growth engine for developing an advanced, efficient and sustainable energy sector. The company is continuously working to identify, develop and implement innovative energy solutions to optimize work and management processes, while effectively navigating business, environmental and social challenges. By fostering strategic collaborations with academia, startups and partners across the business and social sectors, the company can deliver additional value and reinforce Israel’s energy market.
The establishment of the facility follows the company’s selection by the Innovation Authority and the Ministry of Energy to build and operate a demonstration site for clean fuel testing and pilots. In this context, advanced testing infrastructure is being developed, which will allow technological companies to conduct trials, pilots and demonstrations in an operational environment within a complex industrial setting.
The facility is expected to support development and testing of technologies of clean hydrogen, synthetic fuels, sustainable aviation fuels and green ammonia, as well as enabling trial runs, safety and operational testing and providing solutions to investors, regulators and potential partners.
Through its testing facility, the company aims to strengthen Israel’s position at the forefront of innovation in future fuels, promote collaborations with startups, academia and industry, and accelerate technological development to contribute to energy resilience, economic growth and the building of future energy infrastructures.
Sustainable Aviation Fuels (SAF)
Sustainable Aviation Fuels functions as one of the world’s primary solutions for reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the aviation industry. These fuels are derived from biological materials, agricultural waste, vegetable oils and algae, which significantly lower the environmental impact of aviation activity, which is recognized as a major source of pollutant emissions.
Countries and airports worldwide have already begun integrating SAF into their aviation fuel supply chains. In line with this trend, Energy Infrastructures Ltd., is actively promoting the development of an infrastructure for the production, storage and transportation of synthetic and sustainable aviation fuels. This initiative is central to the company’s preparation for the future of the energy sector, fulfilling its responsibility to maintain Israel’s energy continuity and independence during both routine and emergency operations.
