Safeguarding Air Quality

Energy Infrastructures Ltd., implements the most advanced and available technologies according to the BAT (Best Available Techniques) principle.
In addition, we implement LDAR (Leak, Detection and Repair) which includes methodical and periodical monitoring for early detection of vapor leaks.
Wherever necessary, advanced vapor recovery systems are activated to reduce air emissions.

Marine Pollution Prevention

Energy Infrastructures Ltd., implements preventive strategies to protect Israel’s marine and coastal environments.

Ongoing maintenance of marine pipelines

we operate and maintain underwater sea pipelines in strict compliance with international safety standards and Israeli regulatory requirements.

Preparedness for marine pollution incidents

Energy Infrastructures Ltd., deploys state-of-the-art equipment to prevent and mitigate marine pollution.  Operating under the guidelines of the Ministry of Environmental Protection’s Marine and Coastal Division, our response teams are fully prepared for any emergency scenario. We conduct joint field exercises to test specialized equipment, mobilize teams, and simulate maritime fuel spill responses.

Process water treatment and fuel port wastewater management

To meet the Ministry of Environmental Protection’s strict environmental conditions of our business license, Energy Infrastructures Ltd., has constructed a biological wastewater treatment facility at the fuel port, featuring a Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) and a vapor treatment system. The goal being to ensure that our treated effluent meets the regulatory discharge permits.

Optimal Utilization of Land – Renewable Energy

Energy Infrastructures Ltd., has established two solar fields to produce clean, green and environmentally friendly electricity for Israel’s citizens.

As part of this innovative initiative, two high-voltage photovoltaic facilities have been built on hundreds of dunams, delivering a capacity of 16.5 MW at the Eshel facility and 7.5 MW at the Efrat facility. This is Israel’s first initiative to generate green electricity for its citizens, by utilizing land which cannot be used for other purposes.  All power produced in these facilities is fed directly to the national transmission grid to supply local communities while ensuring the operational continuity of these strategic energy sites.

Preserving Biological Diversity

Energy Infrastructures Ltd., in cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and the Society for the Protection of Nature, is a partner in a national project to incorporate considerations of biological diversity in the planning and management processes.

Activities include:

  1. Reducing light pollution at the facilities.

  2. Reducing the impact of invasive species.

  3. Conserving Allium kollmannianum

an endangered endemic species that grows near certain facilities.
