PEI's infrastructure system includes the fuel ports and the accessible marine docks in Haifa and Ashkelon.
Sea tankers are provided with refueling, loading and off-loading services of crude oil and its products at the fuel ports. The off-loaded products are then stored in the company's storage facilities after which they are distributed to their various destinations – the oil refineries or large consumers.
The marine docks provide the sea tankers with off-loading services either by using an underwater pipeline connected to the off-shore tankers, or by securing boats to a quay where the crude oil is unloaded from the tankers and piped to on-shore storage facilities and subsequently delivered to the oil refineries.
